AlaskChem Engineering is an independent consulting firm providing environmental and chemical engineering services. AlaskChem is based in Palmer, Alaska and serves the Matanuska Valley, Anchorage, and rural Alaska. AlaskChem is a licensed, bonded, and insured general contractor founded in 1997 by Ralph Hulbert, P.E., as sole proprietor. Professional services include: · Environmental site assessments, ASTM Phase I, II, and custom for user needs. · Contaminated sites remedial investigations, planning and implementation, including fuels, residual oils, PCBs, solvents, metals, and other contaminants of concern. · Sampling of environmental media, including conventional and proprietary methods. Traditional and custom field screening is applied to support lab analyses. · Risk assessment investigations from environmental baseline screening through actual remediation, including chemical and physical risks to health and ecological receptors. · Underground and above ground (UST and AST) tank removals, assessments, and remediations. · Hazardous, toxic, and dangerous waste investigations, including characterization, removal, and recycling of drum stockpiles. · Regulatory compliance including Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and facility reports. · Environmental regulations and guidance development review and comment. · Environmental policy planning including facility and system audits. · Process research and design including wastewater treatment, sludge processing, combustion, alternative energy sources, and materials recycling. · Program support and consulting. |
